Technology meets enviromental protection
GreenTech
is an innovative European educational project that integrates technology and sustainability into the classroom.
Students use the BBC micro:bit to develop creative, hands-on solutions to real environmental challenges, while gaining essential coding and problem-solving skills. The project connects schools and educators across Austria, Croatia and the Netherlands through Erasmus+ collaboration.
The BBC micro:bit
The BBC micro:bit is a small, programmable microcontroller specifically built for educational settings. It allows students to explore coding, electronics, and sensors in a simple and creative way.
Code with a Purpose
Digital skills empower students to tackle environmental challenges. They measure and analyze data and build smart, hands-on solutions that make a real impact.
Erasmus+ Collaboration
5 partners. 3 countries. 1 shared mission: empowering learners through digital environmental education across Austria, Croatia and the Netherlands.

About the Project
In a world increasingly shaped by technology, digital education is more important than ever.
With the project GreenTech, we empower children and young people to learn programming in a playful and meaningful way, while tackling real environmental challenges.
- STEM for all: We make digital education more inclusive by providing creative, low-barrier learning opportunities.
- Promoting problem-solving: Programming trains students to understand complex problems and develop innovative solutions for climate-related challenges.
- Hands-on environmental technology: Learners explore how digital tools like the BBC micro:bit can be used to monitor air quality, sort waste, and support sustainability — all through real projects.
