The School and its Profile

Vidovec Elementary School from Croatia has for many years been an important place of education, community, and development for young generations in the municipality of Vidovec. Located in a region known for hardworking people and a rich agricultural tradition, the school strongly nurtures its connection with the local community and the way of life passed down through generations. Through various activities and projects, students learn about the importance of nature, sustainability, and community work, while also developing a strong sense of belonging to their region.

Projects and programmes

The school is recognized for its many projects and participation in Erasmus programmes, which enable students to collaborate with peers from other European countries and gain new knowledge and experiences. Special emphasis is placed on activities connected with nature, ecology, and outdoor learning, as well as on developing students’ creativity and interests through drama, literature, sport, hiking, astronomy, and radio broadcasting.

Contribution to the GreenTech Project

Through the Erasmus+ project GreenTech with micro:bit, Vidovec Elementary School actively cooperates with partners from other European countries and, through the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice, develops modern approaches to learning and teaching. 

By participating in the project, teachers and students have the opportunity to learn from their partners, exchange practical ideas, and jointly create innovative activities related to technology, ecology, and sustainable development.
